The Global Learning Centre aims to promote understanding of people's shared responsibilities for developing more peaceful, just and ecologically sustainable communities in our world. Human rights can seem complex. They can seem distant. They can seem like a problem that happens elsewhere. On your television. In another country that you'd struggle to find on a map. Certainly not on your own doorstep. And when some people talk about human rights, it is in difficult, legal jargon. They use words like "international obligations", "unconstitutional", "judicial processes". It can go in one ear and out the other and not touch anything on the way through.
